Wizards of the Coast has dated Magic: The Gathering | The Hobbit for a worldwide release on August 14, 2026, with prerelease weekend running August 7-13 — worth getting on the calendar now if your local store runs events. It is a Universes Beyond set following Bilbo out of the Shire and on to the Lonely Mountain, and it is the first Tolkien set legal in Standard: the main set carries the code HOB and is legal in every format, with a companion HOC set for the Eternal formats.
